The 2024 World Snooker Championship (officially the 2024 Cazoo World Snooker Championship) is an upcoming professional snooker tournament that will take place from 20 April to 6 May 2024 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England, the 48th consecutive year that the World Snooker Championship will be staged at the venue. The qualifying rounds will take place from 8 to 17 April at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield. The 17th and final ranking event of the 2023–24 snooker season, it is organised by the World Snooker Tour and sponsored by car retailer Cazoo. The event will be broadcast in the United Kingdom by the BBC and Eurosport, and by other broadcasters worldwide.
Belgian player Luca Brecel is the defending champion, having defeated England's Mark Selby 18–15 in the 2023 final.
Het WK Kwalificatietoernooi 2024 is een snooker toernooi dat wordt gespeeld over 16 dagen, van 12 april tot en met 27 april 2024. Het toernooi wordt gespeeld in het English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, Engeland.
In totaal doen er 128 spelers mee aan het toernooi, waarvan er 112 zich hebben gekwalificeerd via de wereldranglijst en 16 via regionale kwalificatietoernooien. De top 16 spelers van de wereldranglijst zijn automatisch geplaatst voor de tweede ronde.
Het toernooi wordt gespeeld in een knock-out format, met best-of-11 frames in de eerste en tweede ronde, best-of-13 frames in de derde en vierde ronde, en best-of-19 frames in de finale.
De winnaar van het toernooi kwalificeert zich voor het WK Snooker 2024.
