De Egypte - Premier League is de hoogste voetbaldivisie in Egypte. De competitie werd opgericht in 1948 en bestaat uit 18 clubs. De kampioen van de Premier League plaatst zich voor de CAF Champions League, de tweede en derde plaats voor de CAF Confederation Cup. De onderste twee clubs degraderen naar de Egypte - Second Division.

De meest succesvolle club in de geschiedenis van de Premier League is Al Ahly, met 42 titels. Zamalek is de tweede meest succesvolle club, met 14 titels. Andere topclubs in de competitie zijn Ismaily, Al Masry en El Gouna.

De Egypte - Premier League is een van de meest competitieve voetbalcompetities in Afrika. De stadions zijn vaak uitverkocht en de sfeer is elektrisch. De competitie trekt ook de aandacht van internationale scouts, op zoek naar nieuwe talenten.
