A.E. Karitsa Football Club (Greek: Α.Ε. Καρίτσας) is a Greek football club, based in Karitsa, Pieria, Greece
History
AE Karitsa was founded in 1981 and is a team of Pieria. In 2016–17, they finished second in the championship in Pieria, but because champion Poseidon P. Poron said he was unable at the last minute to advance to the 3rd round, Karitsa's team took over. He has previously played in the Delta Ethniki and has always played in Pieria football.
Karitsa is een Griekse voetbalclub uit de gelijknamige stad in de prefectuur Achaia.
De club werd in 1926 opgericht, maar pas in 1962 begon Karitsa met het spelen van competitievoetbal. De club speelde lange tijd in de lagere divisies, maar promoveerde in 2005 voor het eerst naar de Beta Ethniki, de tweede Griekse divisie.
In de Beta Ethniki werd Karitsa een middenmoter, met als beste resultaat een vijfde plaats in het seizoen 2006-2007. In het seizoen 2013-2014 degradeerde de club echter weer naar de Gamma Ethniki, de derde Griekse divisie.
Karitsa speelt zijn thuiswedstrijden in het Municipal Stadium of Karitsa, dat plaats biedt aan 2.000 toeschouwers. De clubkleuren zijn blauw en wit.
