A.S. Pistoia Basket 2000, known for sponsorship reasons as Giorgio Tesi Group Pistoia, is an Italian professional basketball team based in Pistoia, Tuscany.
History
The city of Pistoia was formerly represented in the first division LBA by Olimpia Basket Pistoia during the 1990s. Pistoia Basket 2000 was promoted to the LBA in 2014, and is playing in that league as of the 2015–16 season.
The 2019–20 season was cancelled prematurely because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In June 2020, Pistoia asked to be repositioned to the second-tier Serie A2.

De club werd in 2000 opgericht. In het seizoen 2000-2001 maakt de club haar debuut in de Legadue. De Lega Basket Serie A wordt bereikt in 2013. De ambities waren groot. Hierdoor haalde de club aanwinsten binnen als Darius Washington, Andre Dawkins en Marquez Haynes. De club wist zich te handhaven in de Serie A. In het seizoen 2016-2017 plaatsen ze zich voor de play-offs. In 2019 degradeert de club naar de Serie A2. Ondanks degradatie wordt in 2020 wel de Italiaanse beker gewonnen.
