Club Baloncesto Zamora, also known as Aquimisa Laboratorios for sponsorship reasons, is a basketball club based in Zamora, Castile and León that currently plays in LEB Plata, the third tier of Spanish basketball.
History
Founded in 1978, CB Zamora was promoted for the first time to the second tier in 1992.
CB Zamora was the only club to have played all Liga EBA seasons until 2016, when the club requested a vacant berth in LEB Plata that finally, the Spanish Basketball Federation granted them.
Zamora is een Baskische basketbalclub gelegen in Zamora, Spanje. De club werd in 1979 opgericht als Club Baloncesto Zamora.
Zamora speelt momenteel in de División de Honor Plata (2de Spaanse basketbaldivisie). De thuiswedstrijden worden gespeeld in het Palacio de Deportes de Zamora, een arena met een capaciteit van 2.500 toeschouwers.
In de geschiedenis heeft de club diverse successen behaald, waaronder het winnen van de Copa LEB Plata in 2004 en 2010. Daarnaast heeft Zamora een aantal spelers voortgebracht die later uitkwamen voor het Spaanse nationale team, waaronder Berni Rodríguez en Sergio Rodríguez.
De coach van Zamora is Saul Maldonado en de aanvoerder is Juanjo Santana. Enkele opvallende spelers in het team zijn:
