FC Basel 1893 is een Zwitserse voetbalclub uit de stad Bazel en is opgericht in 1893. De club komt uit in de Raiffeisen Super League en is na Grasshopper-Club Zürich de meest succesvolle club van Zwitserland. De club is twintig keer kampioen van Zwitserland geworden en won dertien keer de Zwitserse beker. Vooral eind jaren 60 en begin jaren 70 van de 20ste eeuw was de club oppermachtig in eigen land. Begin 21ste eeuw is FC Basel opnieuw sterk met vijf kampioenschappen in tien jaar tijd.
FC Basel werkt haar thuiswedstrijden af in het St. Jakob Park, dat in de zomer van 2006 werd uitgebreid naar 42.500 plaatsen (later terug gebracht tot 38.500). Het stadion werd ook gebruikt tijdens Euro 2008, waar het onder andere dienstdeed voor de openingswedstrijd en een halve finale.
FC Basel is een van de meest succesvolle clubs in de Zwitserse voetbalgeschiedenis, met 20 landskampioenschappen en 13 Zwitserse bekers op hun naam. Ook in Europa heeft de club successen geboekt, met halve finale-optredens in de UEFA Champions League en Europa League.
