S.F.K. Pierikos (Greek: Σ.Φ.Κ. Πιερικός) is a Greek football club based in Katerini, Greece, part of the major multi-sport club of the same name. Their name was inspired from the State's name of Pieria. The club recently competed in the Super League 2 2021–22, at the Northern Group and got relegated to Gamma Ethniki.

History

History

In 1963, Pierikos played for the first time in the First National Division where he stayed for 9 whole years, while in the same year reached the final of the Greek Cup facing Olympiakos. Club's performances were often impressive, as it consistently finished in the top 10 of scoreboard of the league. In 1972 was demoted but returned soon. In 1975 the team got promoted to the First Division again and remained for 3 years. The club was then demoted again. Pierikos was promoted three more times to the First National, but never managed to establish itself again in the 1st Division. The biggest distinction of the club was to finish 3 times in the 5th place of the championship, but also the Cup final against Olympiakos in 1963 where it was defeated 3–0.

**Pierikos** is een Griekse voetbalclub uit Katerini. De club werd opgericht in 1961 en speelde zijn thuiswedstrijden in het stadion van Katerini. De clubkleuren zijn blauw en wit.

Pierikos speelde in totaal 14 seizoenen in de Griekse Super League, de hoogste divisie van het Griekse voetbal. De beste prestatie van de club was een vijfde plaats in 1971. In 1973 won Pierikos de Griekse beker door Olympiakos in de finale met 1-0 te verslaan.

In 2013 degradeerde Pierikos naar de Griekse Football League 2, de derde divisie van het Griekse voetbal. In 2017 degradeerde de club verder naar de Griekse Gamma Ethniki, de vierde divisie van het Griekse voetbal.
