White Wings Hanau is a professional basketball club based in Hanau, Germany. The team currently plays in the ProB, the second highest professional division in Germany. The team plays its home games at the Main-Kinzig-Halle, which has a capacity of 1,564 people.
De Hanau White Wings zijn een professioneel basketbalteam uit Hanau, Duitsland. Ze spelen in de Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), de hoogste afdeling van het Duitse basketbal.
Het team werd in 1969 opgericht als TV 1860 Hanau en speelde in de lagere divisies van het Duitse basketbal. In 2004 promoveerde het team naar de ProA, de tweede divisie van Duitsland. In 2016 wonnen de White Wings het ProA-kampioenschap en promoveerden ze naar de BBL.
De White Wings spelen hun thuiswedstrijden in de Main-Kinzig-Halle in Hanau. De hal heeft een capaciteit van ongeveer 3.300 toeschouwers.
Het team heeft een aantal bekende spelers voortgebracht, waaronder Johannes Thiemann, die momenteel speelt voor Alba Berlin in de EuroLeague.
De White Wings zijn een succesvol team in de BBL en behoren tot de top 10 van de competitie. Ze hebben ook een aantal successen geboekt in de nationale bekercompetitie, de BBL-Pokal.
