Adamstown Rosebuds

Adamstown Rosebud Football Club (founded July 12, 1889) is a semi-professional soccer club based in Adamstown a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales. The club is part of Northern NSW Football and has teams competing in Senior and Youth NPL competitions. The club had played in the National Soccer League between 1984 and 1986 as Newcastle Rosebud United. Adamstown Rosebud is arguably the most famous football club in Newcastle and in 2019, the club entered its 130th year of competition, making the Rosebuds the oldest NPL club in Australia. To mark the occasion, the club wore a special commemorative strip that year, honouring its 130-year history and the Australian representatives the club has produced.

De Adamstown Rosebuds zijn een Australisch voetbalclub uit Newcastle, Nieuw-Zuid-Wales. De club werd opgericht in 1963 en speelt in de National Premier Leagues Northern NSW.

De Rosebuds hebben een rijke geschiedenis en hebben vele kampioenschappen gewonnen, waaronder meerdere National Premier Leagues Northern NSW-titels en de FFA Cup Northern NSW. De club heeft ook deelgenomen aan de FFA Cup, de nationale bekercompetitie van Australië.

De Rosebuds staan bekend om hun sterke jeugdopleiding en hebben een aantal talentvolle spelers voortgebracht, waaronder Socceroos-middenvelder Jackson Irvine. De club heeft ook een sterke band met de lokale gemeenschap en is betrokken bij verschillende maatschappelijke projecten.

In 2023 spelen de Rosebuds in de National Premier Leagues Northern NSW onder leiding van trainer Mick Bolch. De club hoopt dit seizoen een sterk seizoen te spelen en opnieuw mee te doen voor de titel.
