Debreceni Egyetemi Atlétikai Club is a professional sport club based in Debrecen, Hajdú-Bihar County, Hungary, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság III, the third tier of Hungarian football.
History
Debreceni EAC competed in the 2019–20 Nemzeti Bajnokság III.
On 3 July 2019, Elemér Kondás was appointed as the manager of the club.
On 3 December 2019, Kondás resigned because he received an offer from Győri ETO FC
On 15 January 2020, László Schőn was appointed as the manager of the club.
The 2019-20 Nemzeti Bajnokság III was terminated in May 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The club was positioned in the first place thus gaining promotion to the Nemzeti Bajnokság II. On 6 May 2020, it was announced that the club would play in the 2020-21 Nemzeti Bajnokság II.
On 8 May 2020, it was announced that the club could play their home matches at the Debreceni VSC's Nagyerdei Stadion.
DEAC, voluit Debreceni Egyetemi Athletikai Club, is een Hongaarse voetbalclub uit Debrecen. De club werd opgericht in 1912 en speelt zijn thuiswedstrijden in het Nagyerdei Stadion, een van de grootste stadions van Hongarije.
**Geschiedenis**
DEAC is een van de oudste voetbalclubs van Hongarije en heeft een rijke geschiedenis. De club heeft vier keer de Hongaarse beker gewonnen en heeft één keer de Hongaarse Supercup gewonnen. In het seizoen 2009/10 speelde DEAC voor het eerst in de Hongaarse eerste divisie, maar degradeerde na één seizoen.

De huidige selectie van DEAC bestaat uit een mix van ervaren spelers en jonge talenten. Enkele opvallende spelers zijn:

**Trainer**
De huidige trainer van DEAC is János Mátyus, een voormalig Hongaars international. Mátyus stond eerder aan het roer van clubs als Videoton en Ferencváros.
**Ambities**
DEAC heeft als ambitie om terug te keren naar de Hongaarse eerste divisie. De club investeert veel in de jeugdopleiding en hoopt in de toekomst een stabiele kracht te worden in de Hongaarse voetbalhiërarchie.
