Wikipedia - Waverley Falcons

Waverley Falcons is a member club of the NBL1 South based in Melbourne, Victoria. The club fields a team in both the Men's and Women's NBL1 South. The club is a division of Waverley Basketball Association (WBA), the major administrative basketball organisation in the City of Monash. The Falcons play their home games at Waverley Basketball Centre.

De Waverley Falcons zijn een Australisch basketbalteam dat uitkomt in de National Basketball League (NBL). Het team is gevestigd in Sydney, New South Wales, en speelt zijn thuiswedstrijden in het State Sports Centre. De Falcons werden opgericht in 1979 en hebben nog nooit een NBL-kampioenschap gewonnen. Hun beste resultaat was het bereiken van de Grand Final in 1982, waar ze verloren van de Melbourne Tigers. De Falcons staan bekend om hun snelle en aanvallende speelstijl, en hebben een aantal van de meest getalenteerde spelers van Australië voortgebracht, waaronder Andrew Gaze, Shane Heal en Mark Worthington.
